iHLS sums up 2016 and wishes you a happy new year!

Another successful and active year, productive and full of innovations, changes and a variety of events.

First of all, our offices moved to Ra’anana, where we operate within the framework of the new Lighthouse start-ups compound.

We established the first security accelerator in the world – a center for knowledge and international networking for start-ups at the homeland security sphere. Eight innovative startups gave a fascinating presentation at the graduation event of the iHLS security accelerator’s first cycle. More than 100 people from the ranks of the defense industries, investors, the IDF and the homeland security field came to learn about the start-ups. The second cycle has recently started. Leading international companies joined forces with the accelerator, including Raytheon, IAI, Incubit – Elbit Systems’ technological incubator, Verint, Herzog Fox Neeman Law Office, PwC, Lighthouse and Cyient.

Agreements and partnerships – we forged business partnerships and cooperations with companies and organization in Israel and abroad, who acknowledge the company’s capabilities. We recruited investors, funds and strategic partners to some of the start-ups participating in our security accelerator.

We signed a pioneering cooperation agreement with a South Korean government program for the advancement of mutual activities in various fields for the benefit of the industries in the two countries. The agreement between iHLS and South Korea – GT Korea from the Industry Commerce and Energy ministry, calls for the promotion of collaboration in various fields, B2B connections, and investors for Israeli companies and start-ups.

Investment Fund – we are in the midst of an advanced recruitment stage for the iHLS Investment Fund, a first of its kind fund that will invest in start-ups developing technologies related to homeland security.

Conferences – during this year we organized some 10 professional and intriguing conferences on various subjects and brought hundreds of delegations from Israel and abroad to the accelerator and the various events.

Our major conference – the AUS&R 2016 Conference – the fourth international conference on unmanned systems and robotics. The hard work invested in organizing the conference, exhibition and live demos yielded results. The compliments keep arriving from Israel and the world. Delegations from many countries have forged business ties here and have already promised to participate next year as well.

For info on our forthcoming conferences.

It’s not only about business – we see it imperative to contribute to society as well! During the year we have undertaken to support pro bono two areas that are close to our heart: The Red Button organization for the prevention of cyber-bullying among adolescents, and an initiative on behalf of the Druze sector within the Israeli society.

Donate to the Red Button.

We celebrated at the 2nd Executives on Board event, a unique networking event attended by senior figures from the industry and investors from Israel and the world, combining leisure and a surfing workshop at the beach with brainstorming in think groups and business networking. We proved that at iHLS we do not only work, recruit investors, support start-ups, connect businesses and do networking but at the first place we enjoy, have fun and surf!

We succeed in meeting our objectives, and we are already preparing surprising plans for the next year.

We will continue to supply you with up-to-date and interesting information via our website. In the forthcoming year, we will continue with our mission: to supply you with quality content, business networking and professional event regarding issues that are the most relevant to our field.

Happy new year!
