A first of its kind memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between iHLS and Global Tech Korea, a Korean governmental program.

GT (GlobalTech) is the international program of MOTIE (Ministry of Trade ,Industry and Energy) in South Korea. MOTIE operates GT offices in 4 countries (USA, Germany, Belgium and Israel) for R&D networking, promotion of R&D collaboration with Korea and providing technology-related information.

iHLS, which operates the world’s first security accelerator, is a leading organization in Israel and globally in all aspects of homeland security. The company organizes conferences, cooperation with similar websites and TV networks abroad, organizes international courses on homeland security and has recently initiated a vast business activity in this sector.

The parties agreed to promote joint activity in a variety of spheres for the benefit of both countries’ industries. The parties will cooperate in order to promote the collaborations between Korean companies in various stages of development (both mature companies as well as startups) and the startups which are members of the iHLS Accelerator and ecosystem.

According to Meital Ben Dov, co-owner and co-founder of iHLS, such collaboration will include, among other things, joint R&D projects, sharing of civil know-how and technologies, identifying strategic partners and partnerships, creating business activities, conducting B2B events in Korea and in Israel, mutual visits in Israel and Korea, as well as arranging conferences, seminars, and events which will include visits to relevant companies.

The agreement has been the continuation of iHLS expansion of its overall international activities. “We positioned ourselves as the leading Israeli center for knowledge about HLS, and it is only natural that a highly advanced country such as South Korea chooses to cooperate, for the benefit of both sides”. Ben Dov added that negotiations are underway “with other countries, companies and organizations”.
