Israeli anti terror experts told iHLS that the terror warning the U.S released that is related to the Euro 2016 games, should be in place “until further notice”. The experts said that the threat is permanent and growing “every day.”

Earlier this week ,the US has warned that the Euro 2016 football championship to be held in France this month could be a target of militant attacks.

“The large number of tourists visiting Europe in the summer months will present greater targets for terrorists,” the State Department said.

The event is being hosted from 10 June to 10 July at various venues. France is already under a state of emergency following last year’s Islamist-claimed attacks in Paris.

The Israeli experts added that all the European countries should keep the highest level of alert and use the best intelligence tools.

“Soldiers and policemen with automatic weapons may be a comforting sight but they will not stop a terror attack,” one of the experts said.

The need for a unified anti terror intelligence body in Europe is essential but it is not working yet.

“Only the free and fast flow of intelligence data can stop an attack before people are killed,” one of the experts said.

The experts said that the intelligence tools should be enabled by laws that give the security forces the ability to “listen and look” when something suspicious is detected.
