Fast Draw – The Hezbollah’s A-Bomb

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has established a committee of ministers to promote building casinos in Eilat. It is truly a worthy enough matter to receive treatment by a committee of ministers.

But a small matter such as the tank of ammonia is not receiving such treatment. This is a giant national failure for which the Israeli government is to blame. That’s it. Every few months some ministers are speaking out and receiving headlines but that’s about it. The danger is still hovering over the whole of Haifa bay area.

The decision to move the tank of Ammonia to the south of Israel was supposed to be made a long time ago but those bums in the government are not moving an inch as they are, as they are bums/ undetermined/ incompetent/ weak or just unqualified for their job. I think all of the options are correct when it comes to most ministers.

Secretary General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, said that his organization has an “A-bomb”. The organization did not invest in developing a bomb, nor did it purchase one on the black market. Nasrallah didn’t need development or procurement. Israel’s Jews did it for him.

Nasrallah has proven before that his threats should be taken seriously. But Israel knows better, or to be more accurate: Israel thinks it knows better.

This threat is a disgraceful reminder of the continuous failure to treat these dangerous and polluting facilities in the bay, among them is the tank of ammonia containing 12 thousand tons of it. The recommendation to shield the tank or to move it have been postponed and the solution is nowhere near.

Nasrallah said in a speech yesterday that “this is a nuclear bomb in the sense that several missiles plus several tanks of ammonia in Haifa and the result will be just like that of a nuclear bomb.”

In his speech Nasrallah claimed that in the second Lebanon war no missiles were fired at the tank, but that is not accurate. Several kinds of rockets exploded nearby, and it was a miracle that none of the tanks were hit. The refinery complex also took a hit. Since then, Hezbollah’s arsenal only got larger and better, both in quantity and the force of the rockets, some of which arrived from Iran.

Recommendations to move the tank to the south of the country have not been suggested. Neither were recommendations to shield its top.

The municipality of Haifa has ordered a report which established that damage to the ammonia tank, should it cause a leak, will lead to a cloud spreading over 16 km north of Akko, hurting more than 100 thousand people.

But the government is dealing with building casinos in Eilat. The tank of ammonia and hundreds of thousands of residents in the area can wait.
