Amazon to Support Cloud Growth in Israel

Amazon today announced plans to launch in Tel Aviv, to help support the growth of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and its rapidly expanding customer base in Israel. An office is expected to be open and operational early in 2014.
Once opened, the new office will provide a local entity with account managers, solutions architects, technical account managers, support staff and various other functions.

Israeli AWS customers include myThings, Clicksoftware and Onavo. The Israeli start-up Moovit is also a customer, their croud sourced public transport app based on AWS since the beginning. Wix.com, an Israeli company offering an online development platform, is using AWS to serve its global user base.
Amazon Web Services launched in 2006. It offers cloud computing services to customers around the world, such as processing, storage, databases, and more. Amazon, as a world leader in cloud computing, is an important supplier of BCP&IT solutions.
