18315594_sThe recent terrorist activities, in the West Bank are being referred to as “unrelated incidents” by the authorities. This nonsense is all over the media and is mentioned in every interview.

The facts, however, point to another conclusion: A new intifadah has already begun. The Palestinians know they can’t engage in any mass protests, but they also understand that the so called “peace talks” will amount to nothing. And so the order was given to hurt Jewish soldiers and civilians.

In Israel they keep talking about “unrelated incidents”. Who will be the one brave enough to expose the truth?

Another funny joke by the very talented Nobel prize committee: Giving the Nobel Peace Prize to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. After handing out awards to President Obama and Yasser Arafat, awarding such an organization, which means well but keeps failing, is no big surprise.

Not a single country that promised to destroy its chemical weapons has actually done so. The organization can’t verify anything, because it depends on the goodwill of the governments it contacts, which, in turn, are only interested in some positive public relations. So the Nobel prizes, it seems, have nothing to do with reality. The great “Disarming Syria” show keeps going on and on and on, and it’s a great theatrical success.

The Chief of Staff recently described a potential scenario where a war starts after a rocket hits the IDF headquarters. A realistic scenario, certainly, but the response? That, apparently, isn’t included in any scenario known to the Israeli government. That same government seems to be afraid of the entire world, so should a missile actually hit the IDF headquarters the army couldn’t respond with the necessary force – the absolute destruction of those who launched the missile, removing their ability and will to retry such an attack for at least another century.

The IDF has the necessary capabilities, but our politicians should be more concerned about our security than about E.U. or U.S. relations. This isn’t the case so far and probably won’t be the case next time, as well. The IDF can do it but the government keeps shaking in its boots, too afraid of what the rest of the world will say. Here’s an example, based on conversations with someone “in the know”: If a rocket is launched from Lebanon, the Israeli response must disable Lebanon completely – it should result in the immediate disabling of Lebanon’s infrastructure: Water, electricity, naval ports and airports. This kind of powerful, absolute and painful response should force whoever launched that rocket to quickly surrender.

This week the mass movement of illegal aliens from the West Bank into Israel was finally mentioned. This always happens after one of them murders an Israeli. But that’s all over now, the quiet calm is back – and so is the usual highway of infiltration, right in front of the soldiers and cops who are supposed to be stopping them. It’s a sad joke. The great IDF and all its supporting forces, the Border Patrol and the Police – all helpless. But there’s a reason for this impotence – someone has given an order to look the other way.

Someone clearly enjoys this cheap Palestinian work force. Nothing will be done until the next murder, and then, after a short period of chaos, everything will be back to the way it was. That’s how our little country is run – there’s no leadership, anywhere.

Egypt had had enough of the Hamas and its subsidiaries in Gaza. General Sisi and his men made it clear that if terror will keep flowing from Gaza into Sinai then the Egyptian Air Force will be forced to take action. This is the only way to resolve the situation. The Hamas understands strength, and Israel barely responds to what’s known as the “trickle” of rockets into its territory.

Whatever restraint the Egyptians have left is almost at an end, and that’s something that the Hamas can understand. Even with all the so-called “Arab experts” in Israel, no one apparently gets it, so perhaps the Egyptians will kindly agree to do the job for us. After all, we do have a peace agreement with these upstanding gentlemen.

The earthquake that was felt yesterday in Israel was another reminder – we aren’t ready for medium-level earthquake. The project for the strengthening of old structures is almost inactive, many public buildings aren’t built to standard, but no one cares. Every time an earthquake is felt, usually one whose epicenter is far, far away, the issue is discussed for a couple of days – and then forgotten again. It’s strange that no one seems to wake up and really take action. There will be a lot of boards of inquiry afterward, a lot of casualties, too.
