The Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has awarded a joint venture team between Planned Systems International, Inc. and ERP International, LLC, a prime contract to modernize their ICE Correspondence and Task Tracking System.

The contract includes a one-year base period and four one-year option periods and will support users nationwide.

The mission is to protect America from the cross-border crime and illegal immigration that threatens national security and public safety.

This mission is executed through the enforcement of more than 400 federal laws on smart immigration enforcement, preventing terrorism and combating the illegal movement of people and goods.

Under the contract, the contractor will deliver the solution, built on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform. The system will provide, according to pharmiweb.com, improved document management services that will more effectively store documents; improve document creation and revision controls; increase flexibility for assigning, routing, and approval workflows;  support electronic signature; enhance search capability for documents and related documents; and provide enhanced program reporting capabilities for identified program metrics for all internal/external correspondence and taskings.

The contract also includes system, performance and user acceptance testing, and migration of the legacy data to the new system in accordance with compliance with Federal Information / Cyber Security Requirements.

“We are honored to develop and maintain the application, and to enhance mission-critical capabilities that protect our national security and community safety,” said PSI CEO Terry Lin. “This win expands our Immigration portfolio, and reaffirms the confidence our customer have in our abilities to provide IT services that are so vital to U.S. homeland security and public safety”.
