Social Media Drone Controlled by Smartphone

Facebook, Instagram and other platform users can now easily operate a smartphone controlled drone designed specifically for taking pictures to share on social media.

Breeze, manufactored by Yuneec, is controlled by the user’s iOS or Android device with the Breeze Cam app.

Its camera produces high-definition video and photos that users can share directly to social media sites like Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. The application also allows users to add captions and comments before posting.

According to Yuneec’s website, this flying camera, that weighs just under 1 pound (less than 0.5 kg), allows users to capture aerial photos and video in 4K Ultra High Definition and 13 megapixel stills. It enables a live 720 HD stream of the flight on a smart device. Breeze has a flight time of 12 minutes with a charging period of 40 minutes.

Breeze has infrared positioning sensors that allow it to hold its position both indoors and outdoors, to ensure that it doesn’t crash into surrounding objects or people.

Additionally, there is an auto-landing and auto return-to-home feature, so no flight experience is necessary.
