Advanced Israeli Observation Systems to Europe

Observation systems are a vital tool in every battlefield. They span from personal systems to portable systems by soldiers or vehicles. The systems enable terrain vision during day and night, exactly locating targets and transferring it to other forces. The Israeli systems are based not only upon advanced technologies but mainly on IDF’s extensive experience.

Advanced Israeli thermal-imaging observation systems will be supplied to a country in Europe, within the framework of contracts in the total amount of approximately $30 million. The systems will serve all army command levels, from the dismounted soldier to the headquarters command, and will be supplied over a one-year period.

The observation systems, by Elbit Systems, are a vital component of the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) field. They enable day and night operations under all weather conditions.

Among the systems provided are Long View CR (LVCR) observation systems – (dismounted soldier long-range observation systems that are well suited for target acquisition with day and night capabilities), LOROSS systems – (fixed installation long-range observation systems) and XACT observation systems for the dismounted soldier applications.
