Too many incidents involving drones being where they shouldn’t raise fears over potential attacks using unmanned aerial systems (UAVs). Infrared thermal imaging could provide a solution to spotting dangerous UAVs at a safe distance.

The UEFA Euro 2016 soccer tournament has kicked off on 10 June, and the ten stadiums in cities across France are drawing crowds of millions during the competition. Security measures were carefully selected to ensure the maximum safety of viewers at the games.

One of the newest threats facing the games comes from the skies. The growing popularity of drones and their general availability means they’re a ripe fruit in any potential attacker’s toolbox to unleash terror on unsuspecting civilians.
