Egozi’s Fury – No One To Talk To

Egozi’s Fury – No One To Talk To

This post is also available in: heעברית (Hebrew)

The Israeli government is claiming for a while now that there’s no one to talk to on the Palestinian side. To whoever thought there is – Abu Mazen’s last speech was a product of lies, hatred, twisted sense of reality and a hatred of Jews.

So there really is no one to talk to.

After all this, the American initiative of a peace conference if Jordan seems completely divorced from reality. The Americans really have lost all touch. They don’t understand what is happening in Syria, in Iraq and throughout the Middle East. Only that can explain this crazy initiative.

You cannot negotiate with liars who live in a world of hatred based on these lies. You cannot negotiate with people who will not acknowledge the facts even when they are being shown on every television screen across the world. These are people who understand only force, and a lot of it.

Let us make an experiment: Israel will stop security coordinations with the Palestinian authority – Abu Mazen will be taken by force from his office in Ramallah within the hour to an unknown future.

Citizens of Gaza have several times charged the fence seperating the Gaza strip from the settlements around it. In one case, while losing control and throwing rocks at IDF soldiers, they have taken apart parts of the fence. One of the television channels said the IDF is reprimanding soldiers for defending themselves by shooting, thus killing nine Palestinians.

Reprimand? Whoever is trying to break through a border fence in a hostile area knows the consequences of their actions.

There’s something off with the way IDF is handling this war. What did they want? That the soldiers ask protesters to leave via speakers? Whoever is trying to break through a fence should know they could die.

The Iranians have reached Syria under the protection of Moscow. Right now it is still a small number of “advisors” but this dramatically changes the situation and we will feel the consequences very soon.

Iran has some smart people. That is how they’ve played the world with the nuclear issue and that is how they are building a force in Syria with Russia’s patronage.

With Israel’s wish to coordinate with Russia its operations in Syria, Moscow is very smart to do whatever it likes. With Israel’s wishes and Washington’s staggering impotence, the Israel-Syria border is seeing a new reality which we will all pay for dearly.

And on a different note – the Israeli defense industries, mainly the governmental ones, are losing markets rapidly because the government, who owns the shares, has failed to realize the world is changing. Privatization or mergers are words that haven’t penetrated the brains of whoever is in charge, in this government and the ones before it. So the numbers will be left to talk and despite all the signs, this helpless government isn’t lifting a finger, even when it is an emergency.

The ministers just don’t care. Treating this matter will require that decisions be made, and why should they start doing that?
