Elimec Electro-Mechanical Engineering was established in 1988 and specializes in importing and distributing electro-mechanical components and products and systems for military and civilian use. The company also offers industry solutions, designing and manufacturing components and systems for customers’ specified demands.
The company is the sole representor in Israel of leading manufacturers from the United States, Europe and the Far East and operates as a licensed distributor of their products. Among the company’s clients are IMI, IAI, Rafael, Elbit, Ministry of Defense, Applied Materials and HP-Indigo.
Furthermore, Elimec represents FLIR Systems in several fields, among them are thermal cameras for unmanned vehicles, for ground and sea vehicles, thermal cameras for security applications, maritime thermal cameras, thermal cameras for border security and more.
An interesting project is the UAV mounted thermal cameras, designed to provide night image, with no external lighting, and to improve the video quality shot by the aerial vehicle. UAV video footage often suffer a reduction in quality during the video transfer.
FLIR has found a solution with the Tau2 camera thermal core, combined with hardware by TAEX. The thermal video footage is stored on a USB drive in the UAV, offering a high quality image with no loss of data and a radiometric solution – measuring temperature in every pixel in the image.
Another unique product by FLIR is the Quark2 core, with a light weight of only 18 grams and a 480X640 sensor that is suitable for miniature drones – a product which will be presented in the AUS&R exhibition.
The company also offers a variety of military and civilian solutions in the ground vehicles field, such as peripheral system (cameras, screens, sensors, reverse and more), a variety of lighting (work lights, map lights etc.), power distribution systems, a personal compatibility of car windshields systems, according to the client’s window model and more.
Brigade Company supplies the “Backeye 360” solution, which gives an overall 360 degrees view of the car on all its sides in real-time. This is a software that combines an image from four cameras installed on the car, thus improving the drive’s safety by removing any blind spot obstacles – a solution which will also be presented in the AUS&R exhibition.
