Egozi’s Fury – The Appointed Chief of Police

Egozi’s Fury – The Appointed Chief of Police

The objections of former senior officers in the police to the appointment of Brig. Gen. (res) Gal Hirsch as Chief of Police is pathetic at best. I have not once seen these senior officers convene to denounce the phenomenon that had several officers leaving the service in the past year.

Point is, the top ranks of the police have been through a major ordeal in the past year. There is simply no way anyone from the police force could bring stability to the system. Everyone knows everyone, they’ve all crossed paths before and there are left-overs. Only someone from the outside can make the necessary corrections with no intruding considerations.

The claims that Gal Hirsch doesn’t know a police station from the inside are simply moronic. If we want people who know a police station from the inside, we might as well appoint a head of a crime organization as Chief of Police.

It’s been a while since we heard a row of excuses as weak and irrational as those played against the appointment this past week. The claims of faults in Gal Hirsch’s military service are irrelevant. Anyone who spent his life serving this country is expected to make some mistakes. If he had been sitting around on the beach, there would have been no errors in his resume.

I just hope that the prime minister and minister of public security will not get cold feet and bring Gal Hirsch to the police’s headquarters in Jerusalem, like they decided on in a move that is to be praised.

The throwing of stones and Molotov bottles in Jerusalem and its surroundings, along route 443, are getting worse. The residents using that road are now preparing to buy armoring for their vehicles. It’s a crazy situation. Should a disaster happen – and it’s only a matter of time until it does – steps will be taken and something will actually be done. By then, true to the Israeli way, what’s being done is a bad joke.

Even when people are being arrested for throwing stones or Molotov bottles, they are released the next day. Something is off in the system that deals with these incidents of Intifada that the government would rather close its eyes to.

Iran has realized quite fast that it is dealing with a weak world that only cares about doing business with it. Iran’s weapon industry is developing different types of weapon systems, which are being offered for sale to anyone in demand. Don’t be surprised if soon enough terror organizations such as Hezbollah, but not only, have weapon systems that up until recently they could only see in pictures. The dam is broken and the world is about to pay severely for it.

The clever Iranians pull out red carpets in Tehran to any western minister, senior of junior, because it cause even more relief in whatever is left from the sanctions. How easy it is to fool the leaders of the “free world”. How easy it is to fool those who are supposed to be protecting their countries. Iran has really pulled it off. It is controlling the world’s terror but is fueling it with money and weapons covered by smiles.

It makes no difference whether the deal with Iran will be approved by the American congress. The dam is already broken and nothing is to stop the flow of business with Tehran and its race towards the bomb. The world will pay for its stupidity. Meanwhile, it enjoys doing business with its eyes shut.
