Israeli Company wins Contract to Supply Helicopter DIRCM Systems to an Asian Army

Israeli defense companies are known throughout the world for their advanced systems. Moreover, their added edge – in addition to being cutting edge and reliable – they have often been combat-proven and or tailored to meet strict operational and cost-effective requirements.

Elbit Systems announced today that it was awarded a contract from an Asian Army to provide the mini MUSIC IR MWS based DIRCM systems for the Customer’s Blackhawk helicopters. The contract will be performed during 2015 and is in an amount that is not material to Elbit Systems.

Adi Dar, General Manager of Elbit Systems Electro-optics–Elop Ltd., commented: “In addition to being selected by a new customer, this award represents the inclusion of a new platform, the Blackhawk, to the broad portfolio of platforms already equipped with our unique DIRCM systems including our MUSIC version for small platforms such as helicopters.”

Elbit Systems’ MUSIC family of DIRCM systems are under contract for numerous customers worldwide including the  Israeli national program for protection of the commercial fleet for platforms such as the B747, B737, B757, B767, B777 and A320; the Italian Air Force  for the C130J, C27J and CSAR AW101, the KC-390 for Embraer and the Brazilian Air Force; the German Air Force’s Airbus A400; VIP helicopters and other aircraft.
