This debacle has been going on for years now. The writing was on the wall all along. This wall has numerous breaches. The wall in question is the so called security fence, which was designed to prevent exactly this kind of terrorist attack, which had just occurred this morning (local time) in the center of Tel Aviv.

A young man from Tul Karem stabbed passersby this morning in Tel Aviv this morning, wounding 13 people, 4 of whom are in critical condition.

For years no, all security officials have been alerting the government about the major breaches in the security fence, which was supposed to prevent the influx of illegals arriving in Israel and staying here.

Nevertheless, the authorities, or what we ostensibly have in lieu of proper authorities, continue to turn a blind eye to this ongoing blunder. Many people are comfortable with this situation. It allows them to have cheap manpower available throughout central Israel.

But it makes us all exposed to what has come to be called “popular terrorism”.

So how could it be that they are yet to seal these breaches off? How is it they do not see to it that the border with the Palestinian Authority be completely closed? After a huge delay, they have sealed off the border with Egypt, but only after dozens of thousands of illegals crossed the border and created a severe social problem.

So for the benefit of cheap labor, they turn a blind eye to this blunder, which keeps resulting in terrorist attacks.

Someone must be held accountable and face the consequences of this huge bungle. Israel, or more precisely, the government, is ignoring this unacceptable situation, and we keep paying the price.

They are all too busy with the upcoming general election. Or with some other triviality. No one is addressing the real problems, which are so easy to solve. Such a huge botch, so much stupidity – or worse still: deliberate neglect.
