Iran is offering some types of unmanned air systems (UAS) to countries around the world.

Israeli sources told i-HLS that Iran has addressed countries that will face difficulties in purchasing UAS from western countries. Iran is willing to provide Latin American countries with UAS.

Iran has developed some types of UAS, but so far, they have not proven they feature exceptional capabilities.

Recently, Iran provided Venezuela with drones – head of Iranian parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said. This, according to an Islamic Republic Fars news agency report on Dec. 8.

Boroujerdi said that Iranian made UAS (UAV) are operational in Venezuela over the past several years. He added that Mexico is also keen to import Irani-made drones.

“During my recent visit to Mexico, they announced that want Iranian drones,” Boroujerdi said.

Earlier in 2012, Western news agencies reported that Iran is planning to build drones for the Venezuelan military. In 2013 Venezuela reportedly launched Irani-built drones to patrol drug trafficking.
