Egozi’s Fury – Cement in Gaza

18315594_m egozi featureIt was the third time since the cease fire went into effect following “Operation Protective Edge”, that Palestinians from the Gaza Strip fired another rocket at the Israeli communities along the border with Gaza. The rocket hit an open area near Eshkol Regional Council last Friday. No one was injured and no damage occurred. In retaliation, the Israeli Air Force bombed a cement plant in Gaza. This is a flimsy response, designed “not to interfere with the election” here in Israel. This is no way to establish deterrence.

Even prior to the rocket fired on Israel, there have already been signs Hamas has begun reconstructing the combat tunnels dug in Israel’s direction, which the IDF had demolished during the ground campaign of the operation. According to Palestinian sources in the Gaza Strip, Hamas is using the cement Israel is sending to reconstruct Gaza, in order to rebuild its tunnels. Thousands of tons of iron and cement are transported into the Gaza strip on a daily basis. The oversight and control mechanism designed to oversee usage of these materials amount to a joke. Practically everything is going straight to Hamas. It really doesn’t take a seasoned intelligence veteran to figure this out. Israel is repeating its past mistakes. New rockets, more sophisticated tunnels. Hamas is already working on the next round in the face of Israel’s weak government.

Iran’s centrifuges continue spinning, rapidly propelling its nuclear program, as the politicians continue to go on and on about some nuclear agreement” with this country.

Iran’s deputy foreign minister Abbas Araghchi said the nuclear talks between his nation and the US were renewed amid “positive atmosphere”, despite the gaps concerning key issued.

No dictionary has enough vocabulary to illustrate the disgrace / stupidity, pretense, dishonesty / deceit that comprise the talks between the powers and Iran. The talks keep a few bored diplomats busy, but the bomb is already on its way to some fortified bunker somewhere in Iran

ISIS continues to forge ahead. The coalition is hardly dissuading it from its plans to establish an Islamic caliphate. Seriously hurting this organization would take more than this token coalition, as each week sees thousands of new recruits joining ISIS. This is a “world war”, not to be waged with merely a few bombing sorties a day. What a bad joke.

Even the unconfirmed reports about some American operation on the ground do not make much of a difference. Where you need a giant steamroller, do not send out a toy car.

Speaking of another bad joke, this one attests to its perpetrators: the UN’s General Assembly (GA) – what a ridiculous, redundant organization – passed a resolution calling Israel to pay over $850 million to Lebanon in compensation for ecological damages incurred by Israeli air raids during the Second Lebanon War (2006).

170 countries voted in favor, and only six opposed: Israel, the US, Australia, the Marshall Islands and Israel’s staunch supporter, Micronesia. Nevertheless, this resolution is not binding – nor is any other resolution by the GA – since, after all, only resolutions passed by the UN’s Security Council carry any effective clout.

Let me reiterate: dismantle the UN, refurbish its NY headquarters and turn it into a hotel. This would do a lot more good.

In conclusion, North Korea’s leader continues to play the world and bend it to its will. He did not break a sweat when faced with threats designed to have him cease and desist his own nuclear program. Now, he has forced the US film industry to follow his orders.

Like the Iranians, North Korea’s leader realized that using force is the only way to get anything in this world, which is comprised primarily of weaklings.
