Fast Draw – Israeli Security Prisoners

As part of Israel’s pressure on the Hamas since the kidnapping of Gil-ad Sha’ar, Eyal Ifrach and Naftali Frenkel in the west bank, Israel’s prison service is waiting for instructions from Public Security Minister Itzhak Aharonovich concerning clamping down on the relatively luxurious living conditions enjoyed by 1,000 Hamas members currently imprisoned in Israel. Any change has to be examined and approved by Israeli courts, in addition to being up to the standards of various international treaties Israel has signed. All this according to legal experts. You got that? Is that how you fight terror, with lawyers? This country has lost its mind ages ago.

You won’t believe what’s being considered right now. First they’re discussing restrictions on family visits. After the kidnapping visits for Israeli security prisoners stopped, since last Sunday. So far Israel has allowed monthly visits, and right now they may be restricted as much possible in accordance with international treaties. Family visits?! Where else in the world families are allowed to visit terrorists? Stupidy reigns in Israel. Something has to change.

The situation today is completely insane. The living conditions of murderers are much better in prison compared to what they would have enjoyed as free men. Good food, medical treatment and even professional training classes?! The actual situation is even worse.

This is not how you fight terror. In this the Americans can be good role models. Their terrorist prisons, especially those housing al-Qaeda members held prisoner in unknown places, have much harsher conditions. Guantanamo and other prisons are not summer camps. This is how you deal with terrorists – no gentle touches, only an uncompromising iron fist.
