Fast Draw – Israeli Mothers Visit UN

How cynical can you get? The Mothers of the three kidnapped Israeli youths participated in a session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva. The organization that can’t stop even one act of violence, this redundant entity that lost its right to exist ages ago, is supposed to listen to the mothers’ plight?

It looks like there’s no end to the UN’s cynicism. Who else believes it can change anything? Who else thinks it’s anything else but a lucrative place of employment for useless officials? But still, there’s one achievement here. At first UN representatives stated that there’s no proof the youths were even kidnapped. Hear that? What did they think, the boys just went on a trip abroad without telling anyone?

There aren’t enough words to fully describe the farce known as the United Nations. United how, exactly, when every attempt to actually change something fails due to a veto from countries like China and Russia? But even without that veto, the UN is still completely useless.

Faced with a rising tide of global terror the organization proves its limitless impotence at every turn. Genocide in Syria and several countries in Africa, terrorist organizations in some parts of the world, famine in others – nothing, no real help at all.

The dedicated employees, who often risk their own lives, are not to blame. The organization’s leadership is the one responsible for years of dragging the UN down into the gutter. And now suit-wearing officials with sorrowful expressions are supposed to listen to the mothers talk about their kidnapped children? It’s a complete waste of time.
