Officers from the NYPD, the Port Authority, the MTA and Homeland Security held an active shooting drill at the nation’s tallest tower, its train station and the surrounding streets. Paint ball bullets were used instead of real ammunition. The exercise tested how the agencies could work together in case of an actual attack.

The tower’s security has been a concern for officials since a teen got to the top of the 104 story building and three people were arrested for parachuting from the building. Those involved in the drill fired “simunitions” – nonlethal paint-ball bullets, a law enforcement source said. “There was a lot of gunfire,” the source told Fox News.
