Fast Draw – End to Negotiations?

This affair has been a farce for a while now but it looks like no one in Jerusalem is capable of actually ending it. So now our leaders are worried about Israel getting the blame for the well-orchestrated Palestinian charade.

We can say one good thing about the two Palestinian leaders in Gaza and Ramallah: They know how to put on a great show, they know how to manipulate public opinion. Our leaders in Jerusalem, meanwhile, wouldn’t even make it as used car salesmen. And when everything is just a show to begin with that’s the most critical issue.

So there never was a peace process, doesn’t matter what the rest of the world says. There’s one world leader today who’s worthy of the title, and his attention is focused on Ukraine right now. Israel, though, keeps up its pathetic act as part of this farce.

Binyamin Netanyahu should have taken the initiative and announce the end of the process. He might have saved what’s left of Israel’s dignity, especially after Israel started shaking in its boots when Mahmoud Abbas announced he was joining a series of international treaties no one even knew about.

Somebody in Jerusalem needs to step up and justify the titles he or she got following the recent elections.
