Guinness World Records once again sends representatives to Israel. Recently they’re here often, but it’s nothing to be happy about – they usually come to record our government’s newest low point.

The huge terror tunnel discovered over the weekend in Gaza required hundreds, or even thousands, of tons of cement, all thanks to Israel allowing the transfer of said of cement into Gaza.

Last January Israel stupidly announced the expansion of the Gaza cement trasnder quota following pressure from the international community. Defense Minister Moshe (Boogy) Ya’alon authorized the recommendation of the Government Coordinator for Judea and Samaria, Maj. Gen. Eitan Dangot, to allow the transfer of a thousand tons of cement and other building materials in order to repair recent storm damage.

Terror tunnels have been discovered in the past and Israel has even stopped the cement transfer. Out of naivety or blindness cement started flowing back in, followed immedtiately by the appearance of larger, more sophisticated tunnels.

The latest tunnel discovered is a terror masterpiece. Long, branching and stable – all thanks to Israeli materials.

So that’s how it is: Hamas launches rockets, Israel jokingly responds while at the same time providing power, cement and iron to Gaza. Hamas leaders must be laughing uncontrollably at our expense. It certainly looks like healthy thinking is banned from our cabinet ministers’ discussions.

I’ve mentioned all this before but nothing has changed. Something is very wrong in the way our so called leaders think. But when you look at how they deal with other issues, the internal conflicts, chasing after headlines, it all makes sense. This will come back to haunt us, the question is how many lives will be lost in the meantime.
