New Cyber Security Solution For Israel’s Clalit Health Services

Clalit Health Services, an Israeli health fund, began using an integrated secure browsing solution developed by Israeli company Jetro Platforms, part of the Omnitech Group. The solution, Jetro Secure Browsing, allows Clalit personnel to browse the web safely by completely separating networks with no effect on user experience.

According to Itzik Finkel, Jetro VP for Business Development: “Jetro offers organizational solutions for secure browsing, which became, in light of the rising volume of cyber threats, one of the main information security challenges for organizations.”

Doron Itzhaki, Director of Infrastructure and Services at Clalit’s C4I and IT Division, adds: “Over the last few years there’s a trend of separating organizational networks from the internet. In the past organizations simply gave up internet access, but today the world wide web is too important as a work-related tool to give up completely.”

Itzhaki adds: “The main challenge when implementing a secure browsing solution was creating a secure browsing policy based on separating the networks, while still maintaining the same level of user experience. The solution we selected offers us control over the organizational browsing policy; the highest levels of information security; and vastly increased efficiency by replacing the aging ADSL units installed all over the country.”

According to Dudu Regev, senior technologist at Clalit Health Services: “Jetro’s solution meets stringent requirements for information security, ease of integration and management, monitoring systems and complete transparency to end users.
