Los Angeles Police Commanders Evaluate Israeli Tech

The LAPD delegation to Israel continued their fact finding tour of the local industries. Yesterday the delegation visited the safe city control center in Rishon Le-Zion, which is part of the municipality’s emergency call center.
The police officers showed great interest in the way the center operates, with hundreds of CCV cameras already installed and the same number to be installed soon.
Later the delegation visited Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and were briefed about the systems that are relevenat to policework: Unmanned air systems (UAS) and electro optical payloads. The delegation will continue the tour in the coming days and will visit some organization relevant to their missions in LA.
IHLS – Israel Homeland Security
The delegation members, which include top LA Police commanders, will attend meetings and lectures and will visit emergency simulation facilities. The LA police officers will visit towns in southern Israel that are under rocket attacks from the Gaza strip and will be briefed about daily life under these conditions.
The American police officers will also visit Ashdod port, Israel Railways and other relevant sites.
