LAPD Commanders Visit Israel

A first of its kind delegation of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is visiting Israel in a unique fact finding tour.

The world wants to learn from Israel’s experience in dealing with emergencies, terror and crime. iHLS has established a new department that organizes professional delegations that will arrive in Israel and meet the relevant people and visit the relevant installations.

Guy Keren, CEO of iHLS, said: “We have discovered a huge interest and already organized a number of delegations that will visit Israel in the coming months. The initiative has been welcomed by all the Israeli organizations that are in charge of dealing with emergencies, terror and crime.”

The first delegation, which starts its tour today, includes the top brass of the Los Angeles police department. These high ranking officers will visit Israel this week to learn how Israel deals with crime and terror.

Among the guests is the IT manager of the LA police. He will be the keynote speaker in the opening session of the Big Data Conference, also organized by iHLS.

The delegation will attend meetings and lectures and will visit emergency simulation facilities. The LA police officers will visit towns in southern Israel that are under rockets attacks from the Gaza strip and will be briefed about how life continues under constants attacks.

The high ranking police officers will also visit some companies that have developed technologies like unmanned air systems (UAS) that are being used for police and anti terror operations. Among the companies that will be visited this week are – Israel aerosapce industries (IAI), Tiltan, Athena, Verint, Sky Sapience, Ness and Nice.

The American police officers will also visit Ashdod Port, the Rishon Lezion safe city control center, Israel railway and other relevant sites
