Big Data Conference: LAPD Deputy Chief on Israeli Tech

An iHLS exclusive: LAPD Deputy Chief – “Israel has tech that can be useful for us.”

24512872_m featureJose Perez, Deputy Chief of the Los Angeles Police Department, is currently visiting Israel with other top LAPD commanders. According to Perez Israel has some advanced technologies that can prove very useful in his line of work.

“We already have extensive contacts with Israeli tech companies, but during this visit we’ve learned just how quickly these technologies progress. There are a number of information, cyber and incident response technologies that can prove very useful to us – with some modification to fit our requirements” said Perez.

Commander Perez is a member of a delegation that came to Israel in order to study new developments in law enforcement technologies. The delegation visited hi-tech companies like NICE, Verint and Sky Sapience, in addition to examining local safe-city projects. The visiting LAPD commanders also visited IAI and critical infrastructure facilities.

Delegation members took part in the Big Data Conference taking place today in the city of Herzliya. The  tour was  organized by the iHLS news website in cooperation with Strategy 360.
