Matrix to Operate Israeli Aviation Security Center

The Security Division of Israeli firm Matrix was awarded a 10 million shekel contract by the Transportation Ministry, for the operation of the Israeli Center for Aviation Security Operations (Mamlat) for the next seven years. The company’s term begins January 2014.

The Mamlat was established in April 2007 as part of the Transportation Ministry’s Security Division. It coordinates all entry requests into Israel’s airspace, in addition to all transportation security services.

IHLS – Israel Homeland Security

The center authorizes landings in Israel or crossings of the country’s airspace, coordinates the first response in case of emergency security-related incidents and shares information with relevant civilian and military security organizations.

Matrix has been operating the center for the last 5 years as a secondary contractor. Starting January 2014 the company will become the main contractor for the project. A team of 12 professionals will operate the center’s various control systems in accordance with ministry requirements.
