Egozi’s Fury

egozi's fury featureA Molotov cocktail attack on a car seating a mother and two children, and they’re still not admitting that an intifadah has begun. What else needs to happen for them to officially recognize it? The government politicians, scared stiff of Europe and the U.S., are playing pretend.

So here are the facts: The intifadah has started and it’s only going to grow more and more intense. Here they are playing word games to hide the facts, while there they are planning the next terror attack. Israel is daydreaming, and the dream turned into a nightmare.

The agreement with Iran. Another amazing show put on by Tehran. They give nothing and get almost everything. The talks ended yesterday, but Tehran will find a way to renew them – stalling for more time and keeping the centrifuges turning. The nonsense will keep piling in Geneva or in other cities worldwide, while the Iranian bomb quickly becomes a reality.

I’ve said it before – the world wants to be fooled, to be lied to, and the Iranians realized it. Every couple of days they unveil “a new weapons system” which is nothing more than scrap glued together, and in the same way they created an illusion that would make Houdini proud. The international community believes it all, and they won’t see the truth until it’s too late.

Most former senior officers who went into business failed, as it turned out. Similarly, after they take off their uniforms and become civilian experts they exhibit a complete and total lack of understanding. These former top military officials keep appearing on television shows throughout the day, spouting assessments that sound completely detached from reality, even to the hosts.

IHLS – Israel Homeland Security

It turns out that you are what you wear. While in uniform these officers had an aura that made people think everything they said was true. When in civilian clothes some of them make much less sense, and that’s being gentle. It’s a generalization, of course, but overall that’s the situation. They fail in business and they certainly have no idea what’s really going on.

Another mega-production: The peace talks with the Palestinians. The next six months should bring a final peace agreement. Israel will become the Switzerland of the Middle East, we would go get humus in Ramallah and coffee in Jenin. You have to be a complete fool to actually believe it, but when Israel craps its pants after every international “threat” the talks go on and on. The game that’s being played right now is “blame the other guy for the talks failing”. They actually failed a long time ago, but no one was interested. The show must go on, and Tsippi Livni keeps sitting there for hours, talking to the walls.

If you’re confused by all the media buzz surrounding the Galant/Harpaz/Ashkenzai affair, you’re not alone. One thing has to be clear, though: Top military officials were, for a long time, totally neglecting national security. This is extremely severe, but no one really minds. It feels like this is being swept under the rug. This is the most complex affair that has been ever exposed, that affects the security of each and every one of us. Such a severe affair was never investigated so haphazardly. Or maybe it was not haphazard at all, but a coordinated effort not to expose what’s really going on in those high-up places, places we naively believed to be run by serious and professional people.
