While previous systems on the market are active, operating continuously, the MRJ is a reactive system that analyses intercepted signals and jams potential threats more efficiently and cost-effectively, by concentrating the jamming energy on a particular frequency range or on a specific frequency only. Compared with active systems, the MRJ consumes fewer resources, provides higher quality jamming and handles in real time all types of modern threats across The Electro Magnetic Spectrum.

Edgar Maimon, General Manager of Elisra, stated: “The new system is a breakthrough in the field of jamming RC-IEDs activated against military and VIP vehicles due to its ability to effectively counter modern threats, while saving energy and minimizing the risks in detection, as opposed to previous systems. Maimon added: “Multiple systems can work in parallel without interfering each other. The system is based on Elisra’s vast operational experience in developing self-protection jamming systems for various platforms, in use by many customers worldwide”.

Answering the modern battlefields’ requirements of Size, Weight and Power (SWAP), MRJ is lightweight and modular, can be easily installed in any available space onboard the vehicle, while the operator uses a remote command and control panel that provides alerts and fault indicators. In addition, the system enables effective and efficient selection of the frequency ranges for each operation (ranges of 25 – 6000 MHz), covering every threat in the frequency range.
