The advanced Super Dvora mk. III stands at the core of the Israeli Navy’s security activities. The ship is used for patrols, special operations, protecting Israel’s strategic assets at sea, counter terrorism operations, and preventing illegal activities such as smuggling.

The mk. III is the fourth generation of the Dvora and its design improves on the earlier models. The Israeli Navy was heavily involved in its development process. The ship incorporates a propulsion system capable of sharp maneuvers and high speeds, necessary for facing modern naval threats. It’s equipped with various weapons, sensors and defensive capabilities. The ship is relatively small, thus maintaining operational flexibility, crew safety and vessel survivability.

The contract follows an earlier 4-ship order, indicating that the defense establishment and the navy were satisfied with the ship’s performance. These new ships will join over 40 others supplied by Ramta to the navy since the 1970s.

The Dvora is considered one of the world’s most advanced fast attack craft, due to its high maximum speed, advanced sensors, navigation and communications systems and precision fire capabilities. It saw use in many operations in Israel and around the world, and is considered to be a powerful and highly dependable ship.

A few countries are currently considering purchasing the Super Dvora mk. III to protect strategic facilities at sea and to counter any hostile naval activities. IAI Ramta is considered a leading company in the field, with 40 years of experience designing over 120 ships – in addition to other land and air systems – for clients all over the world.
