A few thoughts on the Israeli situation

19501809_sThe Iranians are good. Their new, more moderate leader shows more sophistication than all western leaders put together. He has them all wrapped around his little finger with his fluent English. The Iranians are masters of bluffing. Twice a week they present “new systems” which are no more than spare parts and plastic, but this time the magnitude of the fraud is extreme. Even the so called chemical weapons destruction agreement in Syria is child’s play compared to the Iranian lies. The U.N. performance was so good that the U.N. General Assembly delegates did everything except kiss Ruhani’s cape. Naivety is infectious. If these are the world’s leaders than we’re all in big trouble.

The Kenya massacre perpetrators came mostly from Somalia. That country is home to large numbers of Islamic extremists. All world powers know this, and yet they stand idly by. The world doesn’t understand terror yet – you have to fight it by force, not with U.N. delegations and peace-keeping forces. However, when almost the entire world blindly follows Iran and Syria, it’s no wonder that the war on terror also resembles child’s play.

Large armies, heavily funded intelligence agencies, all these can’t handle known terrorist centers. Why? Because the world isn’t ready for this kind of war. They give it names, such as “low-intensity warfare”, all in order to avoid using real military force. So why does the U.S. have such powerful armed forces? The USSR tanks don’t threaten western Europe any more, the war is against terror and yet no one wants to get their hands dirty.

The Palestinians will try to keep the “peace talks” going for as long as possible. Why? Because while the talks continue, terrorist organizations in the West Bank can prepare for the next round of violence. They are basically waiting for orders from the leaders in Ramallah.

Dreaming about the impossible peace must by very fulfilling. So many of our government ministers are occupied with these useless talks. Were they infected with Washington’s naivety? No, they must be naïve themselves, they probably want to go down in history as the ones who signed the peace treaty with the Palestinians. Pleasant dreams, but why is it that the Israelis are the ones who will pay for it?

Some senior IDF commanders must have caught the euphoria infection as well, and declared that the terrorist acts of the last few weeks are “unconnected, sporadic events”. These concepts already proved disastrous in the past, but we never learn.

The last few weeks were pretty sad for some of the Israeli media experts. One of them even claimed that “the Syrian offensive will begin within 72 hours.”

Other experts know exactly how the U.S. will attack. They simply forgot to ask President Obama and his Air Force chief, who claimed that his forces are unprepared for a military operation in Syria. All the analysts, reporters and reserve generals appeared on one show after another, apparently without really knowing what was going on. But why blame them? According to one Israeli Defense Minister, Assad should have already died a long time ago, or at least be in hiding in some unknown country. Words are cheap.

After Assad proved his machismo in the confrontation with the U.S. he began to speak up. “We have a weapon that could blind Israel,” a product of the fine eastern imagination. But that’s nothing on its own. He said these words because he actually feels that he was victorious. Assad, the president of a ruined, bankrupt country, defeated the west with the help of his friend, Russian President Putin. Assad can now make some funny claims, such as him keeping most of his chemical weapons, because of the west’s weakness and because of Russia’s – or more correctly Putin’s – strength.
