The army in Thailand has a tender for purchasing a micro unmanned air system (UAS). The plan is to use the selected version for many homeland security missions.

The proposals should be submitted by the end of this month.

The Royal Thai airforce has been evaluating some types of UAS in recent months . One of them is the G- Star based on the Innocon’s MiniFalcon -2 . Innocon is an Israeli UAS manufacturer. Innocon’s Spider UAV will be displayed at Israel’s unmanned vehicles salon event, AUS&R 2013, on November 26th 2013 at the YES Planet compound in Rishon Lezion.

The G-Start has a twin boom fuselage and has an enhanced takeoff weight compared with the MiniFalcon-2 . ( 220 KG MAXTOW compared to 200 kg)

The Royal Thai airforce purchased the G-Star system and evaluates it against other UAS . One is the Aeronautics Aerostar.

The G-Star is the first result of the cooperation agreement between the two companies signed earlier this year.

G-Force has so far specialized in manufacturing composite structures and supplied some for UAS developed by Innocon.

According to the agreement, G-Force is the Israeli company’s regional representative. Potential clients for the G-Star and other UAS made by Innocon , are expected in Thailand during the security defence exhibition.
