SECON 2013 is a security and homeland security event to be held next month in Seoul.

The growth is anticipated to reflect the threat from both indigenous terrorist groups and international terrorist organizations such as Al-Qaeda. Within the South Korean homeland security market, the aviation security market is forecast to grow at a CAGR of 9.86% from an estimated value of US$439.4 million in 2012 to US$703.2 million in 2017, as a result of the development of new airports, increased air traffic, terminal expansion plans and the globalization of terror activities.

The event is sponsored by three Korean ministries — the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, the Ministry of Public Administration and Security and the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs. Exhibitors at SECON 2013 will present their latest technology innovations in Video Surveillance, Access Control, Biometric Recognition, Alarm Monitoring as well as Homeland Security, Risk Management, Intelligent Transportation and IT security. SECON 2013 will bring manufacturers, dealers & installers, system integrators, and corporate end-users of security products and services from across the globe together to learn, evaluate, and competitively source in a highly productive environment.

SECON 2013 will be held from March 6~8, 2013, at the Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX), South Korea .
